SUR-ERVE

Saint-Pierre-sur-Erve is a French commune located in the Mayenne department. Its territory, bordered to the east by the Erve River, is characterized by steep hills and a narrow valley, particularly near the town center and along the river. Located near a ford which allowed crossing the Erve, crossed by the Roman road Corseul-Le Mans, then by the Laval-Le Mans road in the Middle Ages, Saint-Pierre-sur-Erve constitutes a beautiful architectural ensemble.

Since 1977, the town has been listed in the inventory of picturesque sites of the Mayenne department and holds the label "Petite Cité de Caractère" (Small Town of Character).

While strolling through this village, you will be captivated by works of art, each more surprising and fantastic than the last, scattered here and there. While some have become permanent residents, others are only present temporarily during the summer holidays.
